The Zimbabwe Education Fund is committed to honesty and transparency. When it comes to your donations, we have a very simple policy-100% of donations go directly to students. We keep our administrative costs low and cover them through other means. The Zimbabwe Education Fund is comprised of a team of professionals committed to making a difference in Zimbabwe.
Our Projects
Not only does 100% of your donation go directly to students, but also 100% of your donation goes directly to the goals. Our goals are simple. We want to remove the barriers that directly impede our students from obtaining an education and to help students transmute education to economic empowerment. Thus, we focus on sponsoring schools where small amounts of capital can have significant impact on the lives of the students attending the school. Inasmuch, we usually provide basic learning materials such as textbooks, electricity, school supplies, school fees, and school lunches and rarely sponsor schools that require major infrastructure work to be functional.
We also like to use leverage as much as possible to maximize your donation. We have established relationships with liquidators in the United States that can provide some of the learning materials we need to support a school, and we only have to pay shipping and handling. In these instances, we are able to lever your donation 3-4 times the original amount which enables your donation to help significantly more children.
Our Compliance
We conduct site visits at least twice a year, and we will never sponsor a new school until we have conducted an on-the-ground needs assessment. We currently partner with one reliable local administrator, Jabula International Network. The Jabula Missions team comprises of 4 full time pastors who are committed full time to missions work. The Jabula Missions team visits Chimukopa biweekly or more often if necessary. For all funds allocated to a project, Jabula Missions team emails expense logs with detail accounts of every purchase, scanned receipts for every dime spent, and videotapes as proof of every completed project.
